Meeting was called to order by Chairman Mike Holstrom. In attendance were Supervisor Val Dietz, Supervisor Eric Roberts, Clerk Brenda Hildebrand, Treasurer Lori Holmgren, Steve Johnson, Dave Holmgren, Engineer Jeff Stabnow, Chuck Erickson, Tony Missling from Anderson Brothers, Brianne Young from Mark Sand and Gravel, and Wayne Evavold from Barry Construction

Chairman Holstrom called the meeting to order.

Minutes were read.  Motion to approve minutes made by Dietz, seconded by Roberts and carried.

Treasurer’s report was given with a checkbook ending balance of $55,137.60 and money market ending balance of $127,685.58.  Motion to approve made by Dietz, seconded by Roberts and carried.

Chairman Holstrom made a motion to approve claims #3787-3807 and 2 automatic withdrawals; it was seconded by Roberts and carried.

Chuck Erickson requested per Mickey Hanson for a sign to be made and placed by the log house in memory of Bill Hanson and to have history of the log house on it as well. The Hanson family will give $500 toward the sign and another $250 could be added from another donation. The total cost of the sign should be about $900. Erickson asked the board to approve the sign and pay whatever amount remains. Motion was made by Roberts to pay the remainder of the cost up to $400. It was seconded by Dietz and carried.

Chairman Holstrom opened the bids that had been advertised for. It is the asphalt overlaying and gravel shouldering of Eldorado Beach Road to the park, Amor Park Road, Augustana Drive, and Walker Lake Road. The bids were as follows;

$496,648.50       Central Specialties, Alexandria

$752,136.00       Knife River, Bemidji

$434,676.00       Mark Sand and Gravel, Fergus Falls

$389,880.00       Tri-City Paving, Little Falls

After Engineer Stabnow checked over the bids, a motion was made by Dietz to accept the bid from Tri-City Paving, it was seconded by Roberts and carried. All of bids are on file with the clerk.

Chairman Holstrom opened a bid from Barry Construction for gravel. The bid was $8.50/yd delivered. Roberts made a motion to accept, it was seconded by Dietz and carried. Dave Holmgren will coordinate the delivery of gravel to all township roads that need it.

Dave Holmgren gave the road report. The grader blade is in need of repair. He will get the repair done as soon as possible.

Steve Johnson will repair the bad spots on Walker Lake Road and coordinate with Tri- City.

Holstrom gave the Fire Report. Woessner will be the general builder. The township’s share will be about $140,000.00. The fire minutes are on file with the clerk.

Clean up Days were discussed. Steve Sanitation gave a quote of about 1/3 of the cost of last year’s cost. Lakes Area Sanitation gave a quote of $450.00/ roll off dumpster. We can choose how many dumpsters we would want. Board will decide at May meeting who they will go with. After some discussion, Clean Up Day will be June 11th from 9am-1pm. No hazardous waste, no electronics, 6 tire limit, for Amor Township Residents only, must provide a picture ID with address and a property tax statement with parcel number, $10/ unit. 1 truck and 1 Trailer/ parcel. Clerk will check with 4-H Club for help with unloading. Holstrom will check with the Zion Youth Group as well. Clerk will post flyers and put it on the township website.

With no further business to discuss the meeting was adjourned at 8:13 pm.
