August 10, 2016

 

Meeting was called to order by Chairman Mike Holstrom. In attendance were Supervisor Val Dietz, Supervisor Eric Roberts, Clerk Brenda Hildebrand, Treasurer Lori Holmgren, Engineer Jeff Stabnow, Dan Thorson, Daryl Enerson, and County Commissioner Roger Froemming.

Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

Chairman Holstrom called the meeting to order.

Minutes were read.  Motion to approve minutes made by Dietz, seconded by Roberts and carried.

Treasurer’s report was given with a checkbook ending balance of $148,479.06. Motion to approve made by Roberts, seconded by Dietz and carried.

Chairman Holstrom made a motion to approve claims #3862-3889, and 1 automatic withdrawal. It was seconded by Roberts and carried.

The Tri-City Paving bill was discussed. Claim was made for 90% of the bill and check was printed but will be held until shouldering issue and some small items are discussed with Tri- City. Clerk will send a letter about this. Motion was made by Dietz, seconded by Roberts and carried.

Clean- Up Days were discussed. The bill came in under budget. A thank you will be sent to Steve and his crew. Board agreed to have it again next year about the dame time. Clerk will ask to be put on the calendar for some time in June.

Dan Thorson asked about replacing the children at play signs on Eldorado Beach Road. County has digital display signs that show how fast a car’s speed is. Commissioner Froemming gave more information on what the county could do for the township to help with the traffic issues. Jeff Stabnow checked into the speed study and board will wait until that is completed before making any decisions. Holstrom will call MATT and ask about a placing a crosswalk at Red Lantern Resort.

Roberts asked about a yield sign being placed on 294th St. Dave will check into it. He will start to mow 2 widths wide all township ditches.

Holstrom gave the fire report. The building is on schedule to be completed in November 2016. The metal is on most of the building.

With no further business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned at 7:37 pm.
