Amor Township Minutes
For February 13, 2019
Meeting was called to order by Chairman Eric Roberts. In attendance were Supervisor Mike Holstrom, Supervisor Kerry Baumgartner, Clerk Brenda Hildebrand, Treasurer Lori Holmgren, Jacob Holmgren, and Jeff Stabnow.
Pledge allegiance was recited.
Minutes were read. Motion to approve Holstrom and seconded by Baumgartner and carried.
Treasurer’s report was given with a checkbook ending balance of $628,211.64. Motion to approve made by Holstrom, seconded by Baumgartner and carried.
Motion to approve claims #4391-#4393, #4399-#4414, payroll, and 5 automatic withdrawals made by Roberts, seconded by Baumgartner and carried.
Jacob Holmgren can in place of Dave Holmgren to give the road report. Dave had gotten the bad spots plowed out for some residents and used the blower on some areas.
Jeff Stabnow gave information on swing away mailboxes and policy that could be put in place. He also gave us an update on the signage warranty through M&R signs. The warranty will go longer on some of the signs than is posted on the sign. He also had information on new culverts and building approaches with a longer slant. The board will look into this in the future.
Clerk received a letter from the 4-H club. They would like to have different cleaning supplies for the hall that is environmentally friendly. There was a bill turned in for mowing and cleaning. Holstrom made a motion to increase the cleaning amount to $50.00 and have them buy the supplies they would like to use. It was seconded by Baumgartner and carried.
Holstrom made a motion to approve the March election judges as follows; Jim Olson head judge, Larry Stewart, and Kerry Baumgartner, with alternate Pasibeth Seeman. It was seconded by Roberts and carried.
Holstrom gave the fire report. The annual meeting is on March 21, 2019 at the fire hall. The budget will remain the same as last year. The board plans to attend the meeting. Clerk will post notice in the paper and on the website.
Baumgartner gave a report on what he had found for replacing the tractor and mower unit. After some discussion, the board will like to research more and look at some of the options for mowers and a bigger tractor.
With no further business to discuss the meeting was adjourned at 7:50 pm.
