Amor Township Minutes For

June 12, 2019

Meeting was called to order by Chairman Mike Holstrom. Others in attendance were Supervisor Kerry Baumgartner, Clerk Brenda Hildebrand, and Treasurer Lori Holmgren. Supervisor Eric Roberts was absent.

Pledge allegiance was recited.

Minutes were read and a motion was made by Baumgartner to accept, seconded by Holstrom and carried.

Treasurer’s report was given with a checkbook ending balance of $584,150.25. Baumgartner made a motion to accept seconded by Holstrom and carried.

Holstrom made a motion to approve and pay claims #4476-4493, and 4 automatic withdrawals check 4487 was voided due to a printer error. It was seconded by Baumgartner and carried.

Clean Up Day went well. 51 loads were brought in. $483.00 was deposited.

Kerry gave the road report. Graveling is almost completed. Chloride will be put down. It is the same price as last year. Residents will have a cost share. Twp. will pay ½ of the price. Snow plow is in for repairs. Grader needs repair on the back axels and seals. The wing is repaired.

Donald Hein made an approach out of wood chips on Walker Lake Drive. Baumgartner talked to his wife and will go over and talk with him about the removal and if he wants a permanent approach. It needs to have a culvert and gravel.

Clerk received a text from Amor 4H about cleaning and mowing. It is to hard for them to mow at the hall if there isn’t a mower available. They will still clean the hall.

Baumgartner volunteered Jane Baumgartner to mow at the hall because it is so close and they have a riding mower. Holstrom made the motion to hire Jane and pay her the same amount as Amor 4H to mow the hall.  Baumgartner seconded and it was carried.

Hildebrand gave an update on the park. The new tables are being scuffed up in transport from the park to the hall in the fall and spring. She was wanting to leave them in the shelter and possibly cover them with tarps to help keep the rubber coating in good shape. The wooden tables need to be stained. Everything is up and running.

Holstrom gave the fire report. Holstrom made a motion to buy the new water truck for the association.  They already have the money for the purchase. Baumgartner seconded and carried.

With no further business to discuss the meeting was adjourned at 7:35 pm.

Respectfully submitted by,

 Brenda Hildebrand
