Amor Township Minutes For
March 15, 2017
Meeting was called to order by Chairman Mike Holstrom. In attendance were Supervisor Val Dietz, Supervisor Eric Roberts, Clerk Brenda Hildebrand, Treasurer Lori Holmgren, and Dave Holmgren.
Pledge allegiance was recited
Chairman Holstrom turned the meeting over to Supervisor Dietz who will be Chairman for the next year.
Minutes were read. Motion to approve minutes made by Roberts, seconded by Holstrom and carried.
Treasurer’s report was given with a checkbook ending balance of $181,848.96. Motion to approve made by Holstrom, seconded by Dietz and carried.
Chairman Dietz made a motion to approve claims #3987-4016 and 3 automatic withdrawals; it was seconded by Holstrom and carried.
Chairman Dietz called for setting the wages and fees for the township as follows;
All wages and fees will stay the same except the clerk will get $50.00 per month more. Motion made by Holstrom, seconded by Roberts.
Clerk- $350.00/month, $60.00/ Mtg, and 15.00/hr anything over 4 hrs.
Treasurer- $250.00/month, 60.00/mtg, $15.00/hr anything over 4 hrs.
Election Judges- $10.00/hr.
Snowplow /Grader/ Mower $17.00/hrMileage (government rate).
Township snowplowing for residents $20.00/ time or $60.00/ hr., Non-resident $60.00/ time or $150.00/hr.
Town hall rental is at boards discretion, Twp residents $15.00+cleanup for meeting room, Non-residents $35.00+cleanup. Whole building- residents $50.00+cleanup, nonresidents $175.00+cleanup.
Amor Park Maintenance- $650.00/month for 6 months.
Township Clean Up Days were discussed. Dietz had checked with Steve’s Sanitation and they could do June 10. Motion was made by Dietz and seconded by Roberts to have it this day with the same restrictions as last year. Clerk will print up flyers and post at area businesses, put in the midweek and the Lakeshore News. The hours will be from 9am-1pm.
The board canvassed the March Election results. They are as follows;
Mike Holstrom 20 votes for Supervisor
Lori Holmgren 20 votes for Treasurer
There were 20 total voters.
Clerk will send out tree letters to the following property owners; Catherine Barner, Jim Olson, and The Stolen Trust. Trees cannot be planted in the twp road right-of-way. They will need to be removed or they will be removed at the owner’s expense by the township.
Pivot owners will also get a reminder letter about the water on the road issues from the irrigators.
With no further business to discuss the meeting was adjourned at 7:49 pm.
