May 10, 2017

Meeting was called to order by Chairman Val Dietz. In attendance were Supervisor Eric Roberts, Clerk Brenda Hildebrand, Treasurer Lori Holmgren, Dave Holmgren, Jeff Stabnow and Walt Zelinsky of Lot Pros, LLC, Wayne Evavold Form BCI, Inc. Supervisor Mike Holstrom was absent.

Pledge allegiance was recited.

Chairman Dietz called the meeting to order.

Minutes were read.  Motion to approve minutes made by Roberts, seconded by Dietz and carried.

Treasurer’s report was given with a checkbook ending balance of $156,075.72.  Motion to approve made by Dietz, seconded by Roberts and carried.

Chairman Dietz made a motion to approve claims #4034-4054 and 4 automatic withdrawals. Motion was seconded by Roberts and carried.

Bids were opened for Gravel bids.

BCI- $9.00/yd. delivered

Otter tail Aggregate- $9.25/yd. delivered.

The amount of gravel was set up to $20,000.00. Chairman Dietz made a motion to accept BCI bid, seconded by Roberts and carried.

Walt Zelinsky from Lot Pros. went over the crack sealing project and turned in the bill and paper work.

Bids were opened for sealcoating

Asphalt Surface Technologies Corporation (ASTEC)- $89,410.00

Morris Sealcoat & Trucking, Inc.- $86,097.30

Motion was made by Chairman Dietz to accept the bid form Morris Sealcoat & Trucking, seconded by Roberts and carried.

Discussion about sealcoating Long Lake Road. Board decided to add to the sealcoat bid and bill half of the cost to Ottertail Twp.  Motion was made by Dietz and seconded by Roberts.

The Clerk contacted the County Highway Dept. about the traffic study that was to be done on Eldorado Beach Road and Augustana Drive. The County did not have any record of the request.  Dietz will check into it.

Amor Rumors requested a renewal of their liquor license for on-sale and Sunday on-sale. Motion to approve made by Roberts, seconded by Dietz, and carried.

Dust Control was discussed again. Residents wanting it will need to pay upfront.

Chairman Dietz signed the plat from Anderson Surveying on the Isaacson Raspberry Patch.

Road issues were discussed. There is a need for a culvert on 365th Ave. Supervisor Roberts will talk to Darrell Lund for permission to place it. The high water is washing over the road and poses a traffic hazard. Gravel will be needed.

Brenda Hildebrand gave a report on Amor Park. She had purchased an antique spring horse for the playground. A new one was $800-$1200 and this was $150.00 but needed to be painted. There was money donated for this. The cement picnic tables are in bad shape; some of the legs are cracked and could break. She had looked at the price of replacing them with metal framed and coated tables. Six tables would be needed. The cost ranged from $750 -$900/table. Roberts made a motion to get all six tables. It was seconded by Dietz and carried. The clerk will look for the best price. It was also discussed about a budget to be set at the annual meeting for the park. This is to help with replacing the playground equipment and improvements that are needed in the future. She also took the old well pump into 59 finishing to have it powder coated and it will be placed in the flower garden that is the old well.  

With no further business to discuss the meeting was adjourned at 7:56 pm.
