Amor Township Minutes

 For November 13, 2019

Meeting was called to order by Chairman Mike Holstrom. Others in attendance were Supervisor Kerry Baumgartner, Supervisor Eric Roberts, Clerk Brenda Hildebrand, and Treasurer Lori Holmgren, Jake Holmgren, Darryl Enerson, and Brian Roberts.

Pledge allegiance was recited.

Minutes were read and a motion was made by Baumgartner to accept, seconded by Roberts and carried.

Treasurer’s report was given with a checkbook ending balance of $855,564.63.  Baumgartner made a motion to accept, seconded by Roberts and carried.

Baumgartner made a motion to approve and pay claims #4565-4582, and 3 automatic withdrawals. It was seconded by Roberts and carried.

Chairman Holstrom called overhead Door for a price on replacing the seals around the door and 2 panels that have been damaged. They gave an estimate of $2000.00. Baumgartner made a motion to go ahead and have it fixed, seconded by Roberts and carried.

Brian’s Repair bill was found. Clerk made a claim to pay it and had them change the address for any future bills.

Darryl Enerson asked the board to approve plans for having Red Lantern Resort go to an association. He also informed the board that the old road has not been vacated to the east of his property. The board will look into the issue of the road. Baumgartner made a motion to approve the plans, seconded by Roberts and carried.

Baumgartner made a motion to approve the State Primary election on March 3, 2019 at the townhall seconded by Roberts and carried.

Holstrom gave the fire report. The chairman passed away unexpectantly so there will be reassignments. Waiting on the new truck to get here and still working on the generator.

The new tractor and mowers have arrived and were out mowing before the snow comes. A quick hitch will be ordered for the mowers.

Supervisor Roberts checked the fire extinguishers. He will make an account for the township and order new ones for all the twp. equipment, shop, and meeting room. The current ones are expired by several years.

Darryl Enerson offered to sell road barricades to the township, 10 barricades for $1,200.00. Holstrom will look at them and discuss at next month’s meeting. He also donated some playground equipment and horseshoes to Amor Park.

Board discussed insulating, finishing, and heating the cold storage area of the shop. There is a need for more space for the equipment that has been purchased. They would also have a dormer placed over the office door to keep the rain and snow from piling up and running into the hall.

The board will contact Jeff Stabnow about looking at the culvert issues on Amor Township Dr. Something will need to be done about the beaver and flooding on the road in the spring.

With no further business to discuss the meeting was adjourned at 7:57 pm.

Respectfully submitted by,

Brenda Hildebrand, Twp. Clerk
