While many shoppers love Costco for its fantastic deals on bulk items, its bakery and food court are just as popular among Costco members. No one can resist the fan-favorite $1.50 hot dog combo (we know Julia Child sure couldn’t) or chowing down on a cheesy pizza at the end of a Costco haul. And when the beloved Chocolate Soft Serve returned to menus last year, we cried tears of joy.
That said, Costco’s food court has also had its share of controversy over the years. Between now requiring an active Costco membership to purchase items from the food court and the decision to swap out Pepsi products with Coca-Cola, the food court is always causing some sort of stir. It’s safe to say that Costco members aren’t always keen on changes to the menu, but it looks like its latest addition might be a welcome one.
Costco's New Strawberry Banana Smoothie
A Costco shopper recently shared on Instagram that a brand-new Strawberry Banana Smoothie is now on Costco’s food court menus. According to the person who shared the post, Costco’s new sweet treat is as delicious as it sounds and is now “probably my favorite of all the smoothies.” The new smoothie appears to be replacing the now-discontinued Fruit Smoothie, and unlike its predecessor, the Strawberry Banana boasts five servings of fruit instead of four.
When one commenter asked if the smoothie was super sweet, the Instagram user who posted the video confirmed that "it's not super sweet but it's sweet," saying she'd give it a "7/10 on the sweetness level but it's so good!” Several others chimed in saying that they “can’t wait to try” the new smoothie.
According to chatter on Reddit, the smoothie also includes additions like apples and pineapple to create an all-around fruit explosion in one cup. The photo of the food court menu lists the Strawberry Banana Smoothie at $2.99 but prices can vary depending on locations. If you haven’t seen the new Strawberry Banana Smoothie on your local food court just yet, expect to see it very soon.
