In case you missed it, Reese’s has been on a roll with its collaborations. In just the past year, its chocolate-peanut butter combo turned up on Nothing But Bundt Cakes menus. Then it partnered with Chili’s for a peanut butter pie dessert, Betty Crocker for a Lava Cake mix, Crumbl for a Reese’s Pieces peanut butter cookie, and International Delight for a canned coffee.
To make it clear, we are not, in any way, shape, or form, complaining. The more Reese’s treats there are in the world, the better place the world is. We don’t care if the chocolate peanut butter goodness comes in the OG Reese’s Cup or a collaboration with another brand, we just want that goodness to keep coming.
And it doesn't look like Reese's is slowing down anytime soon. Its latest collaboration is with the iconic ice cream chain Rita’s Italian Ice, and it looks so tasty we can't wait to get our hands on it.
Rita’s New Reese’s PB and Toffee Concrete
Rita’s may be best known for its Italian ice, but the chain also has soft-serve frozen custard, too. When its creamy soft serve is loaded with mixed-in toppings, it’s known as a Concrete. Put it in the same category as a Dairy Queen Blizzard or a McDonald’s McFlurry.
For those familiar, Rita's already has a popular Reese's Peanut Butter Mudslide Concrete, which features the chain's creamy vanilla frozen custard with Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, Reese's peanut butter sauce, and Hershey's hot fudge. Due to this Concrete's popularity, the chain is launching another Reese's collaboration called the PB and Toffee Concrete, featuring vanilla frozen custard with the fan-favorite Reese's peanut butter sauce, and a crunchy almond toffee topping.
“These are my favorite of all time,” a fan commented on the chain’s Instagram.
What's the only thing keeping us from leaving our desks at this very moment and rushing out to grab one of these Concretes? Well, unless you live somewhere that's warm all year round or have a Rita's at your local mall, many of Rita’s other locations aren’t open for the season yet. In fact, most of Rita’s locations are only open from March to September.
If you're one of the lucky ones who get to enjoy Rita's all year long, then definitely check in with your local restaurant. For the rest of us, we'll have to wait for March 1, but trust us, as soon as it rolls around, we won't care if there’s a snowstorm raging around us, we’re getting ourselves a Reese’s Concrete.
