For weeks, Taco Bell has been getting fans excited about its second Live Más Live event—and the fast food chain did not disappoint. After 2024’s inaugural event, where Taco Bell announced dozens of new menu innovations, the brand scaled up for an even bigger and better Live Más Live in 2025—complete with 30 new menu announcements.

However, after last year’s event, which teased a Baja Blast Pie that has yet to come to nationwide menus, Taco Bell was careful to differentiate between what it’s actually releasing this year, and what the R&D team is currently dreaming up in the test kitchen. Though, Taco Bell’s Chief Food Innovation Officer, Liz Matthews, did hint that the long-awaited Mountain Dew-flavored pie might just hit menus for Thanksgiving this year.

In 2025, Taco Bell is rolling out 14 new menu items and innovations—some of which are already available. The biggest announcements include a new, exclusive Baja Blast flavor, Quesocrisp Taco, and the return of the fan-favorite Beefy Crunch Burrito in a reimagined version. Here’s the complete list of new menu items coming down the pipeline in 2025.

Taco Bell's 2025 Menu Releases

First, Taco Bell highlighted its new Milk Bar Birthday Cake Churros, Caliente Cantina Chicken Menu, Steak & Queso Crunchwrap Sliders, and Luxe Cravings Boxes, all of which are currently on the menu to try.

Also, available now in select markets, Taco Bell announced it’s testing Crispy Chicken Burritos in Indianapolis, Steak & Poblano Rolled Quesadilla in Detroit, and Southwest Hot Chicken Crunchwrap in Cincinnati.

I tried the Steak & Poblano Rolled Quesadilla and it was hands down the best new item at Live Más Live. The charred poblanos offer a nice level of spice that pairs well with the steak. The creamy spicy ranch and gooey cheese make the entire dish that much more delicious—I need this everywhere immediately.

Along with the Crispy Chicken Burritos, which Taco Bell sounded confident would hit nationwide menus later this year, the chain shared its fan-favorite Crispy Chicken Nuggets that sold out quickly in 2024 would return two times this year.

After the success of 2024’s Decades Menu, which included the Tostada, Green Burrito, Meximelt, Beef Gordita Supreme, and Caramel Apple Empanada, Taco Bell has vowed to do it again. This time, though, it plans to celebrate menu items from the 2000s to 2010s—including the Cool Ranch Doritos Locos Tacos and Double Decker Taco.

Next up? Taco Bell is releasing two new burritos: the Grilled Cheese Burrito with Shredded Beef and Flamin' Hot Burrito.

The Grilled Cheese Burrito with Shredded Beef simply adds shredded beef to the fan-loved Grilled Cheese Burrito made with nacho cheese, rice, fiesta strips, chipotle sauce, sour cream, and cheese in a tortilla with cheese grilled on top.

The Flamin’ Hot Burrito is Taco Bell’s way of resurrecting the fan-loved Beefy Crunch Burrito. The new Flamin’ Hot offering includes nacho cheese sauce, Flamin’ Hot Fritos, sour cream, beef, and an all-new Flamin’ Hot rice in a warm tortilla. Personally, I thought the burrito was a little too rice heavy, but if you like Taco Bell’s regular burrito, you’ll probably enjoy this extra-hot version.

It’s also releasing a new Toasted Cheddar Street Chalupa, which takes its fan-favorite Cheesy Street Chalupa to the next level by adding crispy cheese toasted on the outside of the Cheddar-baked shell. The Chalupa will feature slow-roasted chicken or grilled steak, diced onions, cilantro, and a new Chile Lime Crema Sauce and be served in a two-count.

Following its successful Big Cheez-It, which super-sized the cheesy cracker into a tostada, Taco Bell is introducing a new Quesocrisp Taco. The taco’s shell is made out of crispy cheese and stuffed with your favorite ingredients, like chicken, lettuce, tomato, and more cheese. I’ll be honest, I gave this taco flack when it was first announced, but I ate my words after trying it. It’s the perfect combination of crispy and cheesy on the outside—I’m actually not sure how Taco Bell didn’t think of it sooner.

The fast food chain is leaning into sauces this year, already introducing the Caliente sauce. It plans to team up with Mike’s Hot Honey for a new sweet-and-spicy Mike’s Hot Honey Diablo Sauce to be paired with its Crispy Chicken Nuggets later this year.

Last, but certainly not least, Taco Bell is celebrating the Baja Blast’s 21st birthday with an all-new, exclusive flavor. Mountain Dew Baja Blast Midnight, made with the same tropical lime flavor you love and a new splash of passionfruit, will pair with any one of these new menu items. The new Baja Blast tastes like an extra-fruity version of the classic. I’m positive that this flavor will be a hit in the summer months.

Taco Bell Announces More Live Más Café Locations

Taco Bell confirmed that it has plans to open more Live Más Café locations, the brand’s first-ever beverage-focused restaurant, soon. The first location opened in San Diego, California, complete with 30 unique beverages, like the Dirty Mountain Dew Baja Blast Dream Soda, Churro Chillers, and Agua Refrescas.

What's Happening at Taco Bell's Test Kitchen

The Taco Bell test kitchen is currently working hard on 13 menu items that I need to try ASAP.

In the future, you might see Queso Fundido Rolled Chicken Taquitos; a Short Rib Chile Relleno Burrito made with Anaheim green chilis; a Brisket Taco with shredded cheese and purple cabbage; an oversized, grilled Tacodilla filled with carne asada, cheese, and guajillo pepper sauce; a Mini Taco Salad that’s reminiscent of the taco salad that ran on menus from 1984 to 2017; and Crispy Fajitas of tempura-battered bell peppers, onions, and jalapeños with a white habanero ranch.

Additionally, Taco Bell is breaking out of its traditional lane by trying things like Poutine Fries, made with Nacho Fries, slow-roasted pork, gravy, and cheese curds, and an Ube Strawberry Cookie featuring sugar cookies filled with vanilla ube cream and strawberry pieces.

With love for the Caramel Apple Empanadas at an all-time high, Taco Bell is testing out new empanada offerings, like a Salted Caramel & Toffee Cream Empanada Bite, Mexican Pizza Empanadas, and Pumpkin Spice Empanadas.

Finally, to keep its sauce game extra-strong, the brand is toying with more partnerships like Weak Knees Fire made with gochujang sriracha and Zab’s Hot ranch made with Datil Pepper and Taco Bell’s Spicy Ranch. And, for the true spice fans, Taco Bell is developing its own Purple Chile Sauce made with Ají Panca, Habanero and Ghost Pepper—a sauce so hot it required a waiver to try at Live Más Live.

It’s official, Taco Bell has done it again and now I will not-so-patiently wait until I can try all these menu items for real. I’ll be the first in line at my drive-thru.
