There are two types of cookies in the snack aisle: the ones that constantly reinvent themselves (looking at you, Oreo) and the ones that have remained largely unchanged for decades. Classics like Walker’s Shortbread and Nilla Wafers have stayed true to their original flavors through and through.
Initially, we would have put Milano cookies in the latter category. Sure, Pepperidge Farm has dabbled with flavor variations like Mint, Raspberry, and Orange over Milano’s 50+ year history, but the core concept of oval shortbreads and a rich chocolate center has remained the same—that is, until recently.
With the recent introduction of London Fog Milanos and the rollout of an entirely new line of white chocolate treats, Milano seems to be stepping outside its comfort zone more than ever before. And, frankly, we’re loving it.
Milano Rolls Out New Caramel Café au Lait Cookies
Earlier this year, Milano made a bold entrance into the white chocolate world with a fruit-forward line-up perfect for spring. Now, the brand is taking that creamy white chocolate base in a new direction, infusing it with coffee and caramel for an indulgent twist.
The new Caramel Café au Lait Cookies feature a filling of premium white chocolate, complemented by a thin layer of caramel with a hint of coffee flavor. If that sounds like a caramel latte in cookie form, you’d be absolutely right—but that certainly won’t stop us from dunking them into our actual lattes as well. Talk about the ultimate afternoon pick-me-up.

Although these cookies were just recently announced, fans have already started spotting them on shelves at Kroger and Target—and early reviews are overwhelmingly positive. “These are really, really good!” one customer raved. “The Milanos are amazing! They’re my current favorite cookie,” added another.
Some reviewers call out that the caramel and coffee flavors are fairly subtle, but that only makes them even easier to snack on. Unlike previous Milano flavors like Caramel Macchiato and Salted Caramel, the white chocolate adds a lighter, more delicate feel, making them dangerously easy to devour. Case in point: “I ate the entire pack in five minutes,” one fan confessed.
With its fourth new cookie release of 2025, Milano has been “going crazy these past few months,” as one Instagram commenter put it. But, as ceaseless cookie consumers, you won’t find us complaining. These limited-time treats are just the cookie innovation we didn’t know we needed.
So, what’s next in Milano’s venture into white chocolate territory? Fans have a few theories, including peanut butter, cookies and creme, and even Butterbeer, which has been popping up on snack shelves everywhere recently. Whatever’s coming next, we’ll be first in line at the grocery store.
