Dairy Queen fans know the fast food chain’s hand-dipped cones are the perfect sweet treat. The dessert starts with the signature soft serve poured onto a cone and dipped into a magic shell coating in flavors like chocolate, or even limited-edition churro or cherry.
There’s something special about biting into a sweet, crunchy coating to crack open creamy, delicious frozen goodness. It’s no wonder DQ lovers get excited whenever a new flavor of dipped coating is released.
New Fan-Inspired DQ Crunchin' Cookie Hacks
It’s only been a matter of weeks since Dairy Queen released the Crunchin’ Cookie Dipped Cone, a brand new, blue-hued flavor of dip that leans into cookies and cream flavors. Following the release, fans took to social media, posting their own sweet menu creations made with the blue, cookie-sprinkled dip. From ordering the hand-dipped, blue cone in a cup and adding a side of crumbled Oreo pieces, to custom ordering Crunchin’ Cookie Blizzards (with an extra side of the dipping sauce to make coated spoonfuls), sites like TikTok have been set ablaze with unique fan takes on the new ice cream topping.
After all the buzz, Dairy Queen is making a few fan creations official, for a limited time. And considering @snackolator called his Crunchin' Cookie Blizzard concoction "the best Dairy Queen Blizzard in the history of Dairy Queen," we can see why.
Available now, DQ guests can order not only the Crunchin’ Cookie Dipped Cone, but two additional crunchy treats—the Crunchin’ Cookie Parfait and the Crunchin’ Cookie Blizzard Treat.
Dairy Queen’s Crunchin' Cookie Menu Is Available Now for a Limited Time

As always, the Crunchin' Cookie Dipped Cone is made up of DQ’s famous original ice cream cone, topped with vanilla soft serve and dipped into the Crunchin' Cookie Dip. The Crunchin' Cookie Parfait is made with layers of soft serve, crumbled Oreo cookies, and the blue Crunchin' Cookie Dip, and the Crunchin' Cookie Blizzard Treat is a traditional Blizzard with blended soft serve, Oreo pieces, and the cookies and cream coating all combined.
These limited-edition DQ goodies can be found by ordering online or through the app (check under the “Treats” section), and are available now at participating restaurants nationwide.
The best thing about making a trip to Dairy Queen for these blue-hued, crunchy treats? While you’re there, you can try other fan-favorite menu items, like cheeseburgers or crispy chicken strips and fries. And, you can always try making a copycat Dairy Queen Blizzard at home, although you won’t easily find that bright blue cookie-flavored cone dip to get the full effect.
