If an apple a day keeps the doctor away, then I’m well set. My favorite three-ingredient apple snack is so good, I find myself eating it at least twice a day. That means, according to this famous saying, I’m getting double the protection from the beloved fruit.
Fall and winter call for cozy foods and drinks. For me, a cold-weather treat is automatically a winner if it includes apples. So, when I started making this simple apple snack, it's no shock that I was immediately hooked. It is so easy, there really is no reason not to have it once (or twice) a day.
Cinnamon Apples Are The Treat I Can’t Stop Making
If you are looking to make your house smell like a delicious apple pie, but don’t want to put in the work of making a full apple dessert, cinnamon apples are for you.
Cinnamon apples are a simplified version of the inside of an apple cobbler or pie. All it entails are apples cooked in cinnamon and sugar. It might sound simple but trust me–there is just something about cinnamon that has me running to my kitchen to make them every time I get a chance.

How to Make Cinnamon Apples
To put them together, you only need an apple, some cinnamon, and honey–ingredients you likely already have in your pantry. Making cinnamon apples for me is a process I have perfected. Now, it has become an essential part of both my morning and evening routines. There are many ways you can make this recipe, but here is the method that works best for me.
I start by chopping up an apple into small pieces. For me, smaller pieces are better because the apples get crispier. Then, I drizzle my apples with some honey and cinnamon. If I am feeling really fancy, I add a pinch of salt. Instead of honey, you also could use brown sugar or white sugar, but I like the way the honey makes my apples a little saucy.
Once the apples are covered in honey and cinnamon, I cook them in a hot pan until they are brown and crispy. You could microwave your apples if you want an easy shortcut, but I like the way my apples get toasted on the outside and remain soft in the middle. There really is nothing better.
What to Do With Cinnamon Apples
Cinnamon apples are delicious on their own, but there are dozens of ways to use them as an upgrade for another dish.
Most commonly, I eat cinnamon apples with my yogurt or oatmeal for breakfast. Then again in the evening with some vanilla ice cream for dessert. At this rate, I go to bed looking forward to my breakfast and spend my days looking forward to dessert.

Cinnamon apples would also be delicious with a sprinkling of granola on top for an easy apple crisp. I also think a drizzle of caramel sauce would be delicious, especially if you added some whipped cream as well. You also could put these apples on top of waffles or pancakes for a delicious breakfast. Seriously, the possibilities are endless.
There also are many ways to upgrade this recipe as you make it. You always could add more spices, butter, or a splash of lemon to your recipe. But, as I make this recipe so frequently, it’s not surprising that I opt for the easiest method possible–the hardest part is running to the grocery store to buy more apples.
