Firehouse Subs has some pretty darn good sandwiches, including the most popular Italian with Genoa salami, ham, pepperoni, honey ham, and melted provolone doused in Italian dressing that tops fans’ cravings.

But the brand doesn’t rest on its laurels. Last year, these guys launched a brand new Captain Club Sub that was dubbed its spiciest one yet. Well, that sandwich may have some competition with the latest two new offerings that pack a serious punch.

Firehouse Subs and Hot Ones New Spicy Sandwich Collab

Firehouse Subs recently teamed up with the popular First We Feast show “Hot Ones” to launch a couple of spiced-up offerings for a limited time.

Starting March 10, the firefighter-founded sub chain will offer fresh takes on its classic Hook & Ladder sub. You know the one—loaded with smoked turkey, honey ham, and melted Monterey Jack, topped with mayo and deli mustard. Take that and then amplify it with a whole lotta extra spice for two new, never-before-seen versions.

If you’re a dill pickle fan looking for a real kick, you’ll want to try the Spicy Dill Hook & Ladder made with Last Dab Dill Pickle that has been marinated in Hot Ones’ Last Dab Reaper Edition Hot Sauce, which has never been used on a menu collab before. Heads up, this sub is not for the faint of heart as it’s made with Carolina Reaper chili pepper, one of the hottest peppers in the world, and is the spiciest item on Firehouse Subs’ menu right now. Sorry, Captain Club, you’ve been dethroned.

For those looking for something a bit milder, there is also the Zesty Garlic Hook & Ladder which still offers spice but is balanced out with a zesty garlic flavor thanks to the Hot Ones’ Garlic Fresno Hot Sauce on top.

This is the first time Hot Ones has ever teamed up with a sandwich brand so it’s kind of a big “dill” (pun intended). The proper sauce can be crucial to making a sandwich legendary, and while we appreciate the standard Hook & Ladder for all its traditional flavors, we can’t wait to see what all this heat can do.
