When it comes to fast food chicken, the competition is fierce. Nuggets, tenders, sandwiches, and wings—there’s no shortage of crispy, golden options. So, claiming the title of best fast food fried chicken? That’s a big deal. And believe it or not, the chain climbing to the top isn’t one of the usual suspects.
Not familiar with Jollibee? Well, it’s about time to get acquainted. The global restaurant chain got its start in the Philippines, but Jollibee’s juicy, ultra-crispy fried chicken quickly made a name for itself in the U.S., now served in over 100 locations across North America.
And to put it plainly, Jollibee is the best—and that’s not just the opinion of our food editors. In 2024, USA Today ranked Jollibee number one on its list of the “Best Fast Food Fried Chicken,” beating out heavyweights like Chick-fil-A, Popeyes, and Bojangles.
The crown jewel of Jollibee’s menu? Chickenjoy—the signature bone-in fried chicken that resembles (but, in some opinions, surpasses) KFC. For nearly 50 years, this crispy, flavorful chicken has been the chain’s biggest claim to fame. But, a brand-new menu item is here to vie for that place—and perhaps make waves in another fast food category as well.
Jollibee Launches Burgers for the First Time
Jollibee has been on a roll lately. After launching a lineup of chicken tenders that some say outshine Raising Cane’s, the chain is making another bold move. Now joining Jollibee’s unique lineup of fan-favorite dishes—like its signature spaghetti, next-level gravy, and “life-changing” peach mango pies—is a brand-new entrée that strays from everything the chain is known for. Why burgers? Maybe Jollibee wasn’t satisfied with just one national title and it’s coming for the “best fast food burger” crown, too.
To make a statement, Jollibee isn’t introducing just one burger but three—all featuring a handcrafted quarter-pound patty of 100% Certified Angus Beef. According to Jollibee, no other quick-service restaurant in the U.S. offers this level of beef quality.

- The Angus Cheeseburger: A classic, stacked with crisp pickles, thinly sliced red onions, ketchup, and Jollibee’s new signature burger sauce.
- The Angus Deluxe Burger: A fresher take, adding lettuce and sliced Roma tomatoes to the mix.
- The Angus Aloha Burger: A bold, sweet-and-savory creation with grilled pineapple, bacon, lettuce, and a special Aloha dressing.
Each burger is smash-seared to order, topped with melted American cheese, and served on a butter-toasted bun.

Jollibee’s Angus Burgers are available now at all U.S. locations, starting at $5.99. Given the chain’s track record, it wouldn’t be surprising if these new burgers shake up the fast food world just as much as Chickenjoy did. Will Jollibee take the crown in both categories? Only time will tell—but we’re more than ready to add it to our taste tests.
