In the winter, heading to an ice cream shop like Baskin-Robbins seems like a form of protest against the cold weather, right? Bundling up, getting in the car, and grabbing a cone of something like its most recent Flavor of the Month, Chocolate Chip Cheesecake, lets winter know it won’t win. Now, spring is coming, and we’re holding out hope for later sunsets and light jackets.
But when that spring we’ve been waiting for finally arrives, suddenly, we don’t want a light jacket anymore. We want sandals, and to go out in nothing but our T-shirts and jeans—no jacket needed.
Baskin-Robbins gets that, and its latest Flavor of the Month (plus something new) has us jumping ahead to summer by taking our taste buds to a tropical island.
Baskin-Robbins Releases Paloma Paradise Flavor

Have you ever had a Paloma cocktail? Tequila, fresh-squeezed lime, and fizzy grapefruit soda combine to make an island-worthy, refreshing drink on the rocks served with a salt rim. Baskin-Robbins has taken the flavors of this cocktail that transports you to paradise and repurposed them as an ice cream flavor, no booze involved.
Paloma Paradise is a grapefruit-forward, citrusy ice cream and sorbet swirled with mild chili pepper lime for a little kick of heat. (The cocktail sometimes comes rimmed with Tajin, so the mild chili pepper lime makes a lot of sense here.)
The new flavor has only been in shops for a few days, but fans are already excited.
“Ok this one was made for me,” one Instagram user commented on Baskin-Robbins’ post.
"Oh em gee. Drooling," wrote another.
Of course, you can get just a scoop or two of this tropical flavor, but it’s also available as the Paloma Paradise Fizz, which seems to be Baskin-Robbins’ first attempt at a mocktail. The Paloma Paradise Fizz blends the Flavor of the Month with Starry lemon-lime soda and is finished with a dusting of Tajin for a balance of citrus and zest. All April long, a medium Paloma Paradise Fizz is just $4 for Baskin-Robbins rewards members.
Baskin-Robbins Debuts Flavor Flights

You don’t have to get on an actual flight to enjoy the Paloma Paradise or the Paloma Paradise Fizz, and you don’t have to take to the friendly skies to try the new Flavor Flights at Baskin-Robbins, either.
The chain now offers a "flight" of four 2.5-ounce scoops of ice cream, topped with waffle cone chips and served in a travel-friendly container. Ice cream lovers can explore new flavors, including April’s Flavor of the Month, or mix and match with their favorites.
Spring may have just begun, but the promise of summer is coming, and Baskin-Robbins is offering it in scoops and fizzy beverages. So we can satisfy our temptation to take off for an exotic island without standing in a stressful TSA line.
