Is it just me or are s’mores having a moment right now? Oreo recently brought back what some fans have called “the best flavor ever,” aka S’moreos. Then, Dairy Queen rolled out its summer menu, which includes a sweet surprise: the return of its fan-favorite S’mores Blizzard. And at the tail end of 2024, Hershey’s announced it was teaming up with Breyer’s for a campfire ice cream collection centered around—you guessed it—s’mores.
Is it so surprising? As a treat, s'mores are practically perfect. They're melty, chocolatey, crunchy, warm—all in one bite. I can't think of anything bad about them—other than the inevitable mess that comes with digging our teeth into a cracker tower filled with gooey ingredients.
With summer on the horizon (a girl can dream), Costco is introducing a never-before-seen Hershey's snack kit that might change the way we s'more from here on out.
New Hershey's S'mores Kit at Costco
Costco member @costcohotfinds had to hit the brakes when she spotted the brand-new Hershey’s S’mores Kit at her local warehouse. It’s “the ultimate s’mores kit,” she wrote in the video’s caption.
As you might’ve guessed from the name, each box comes complete with marshmallows, graham crackers, and Hershey’s milk chocolate bars, so you won’t have to run around the store gathering all the individual ingredients. But the real highlight might be the addition of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and new Hershey’s chocolate caramel bars.
“Reese’s on a s’more is life,” a fan commented on the video. Honestly? I agree. Having more ways to customize the classic campfire treat is a game-changer, and I imagine a burst of creamy peanut butter or rich caramel is going to take the humble s’more to new heights.
"This is next level," another fan added, while someone else just simply wrote, "drooling."
It's not clear if this $11.49 kit is a limited-time seasonal offering, but if I were you, I'd already add this to the grocery list. Costco and Hershey's are making it way too easy to score what might be one of the sweetest treats this summer.
