- Aldi just brought back a seasonal Specially Selected brand salsa that fans love so much, they buy as many as 10 jars at a time.
Aldi fans know that when you find a product you love, stocking up is essential. Not only does the budget-friendly retailer carry several fast-moving Aldi Finds each week, but even the store’s regular inventory can rotate quickly, too. And as exciting as it is to come across Williams Sonoma look-alikes and new fast food dipping sauce copycats, nothing tops discovering that your favorite seasonal item is back for its annual run.
One lucky Aldi shopper recently got to experience that joyful moment when they discovered one of their favorite condiments was back on shelves. On Reddit, the shopper shared a photo of the jar, writing “It’s time for my annual announcement that chimichurri salsa is back.”
Aldi’s Specially Selected Chimichurri Salsa Returns to Shelves
Specially Selected Chimichurri Salsa features a chunky blend of fire-roasted tomatoes, parsley, garlic, oregano, and red jalapeño peppers. What makes it stand out from the crowd is the addition of herbs typically found in chimichurri, such as parsley and oregano.
“This is hands down my favorite salsa that Aldi carries,” the post’s creator continued. “It should be in stock until around July. If you have not tried it yet, it is not mild, I consider it the top end of medium as far as spice goes. Really, really great.”
It didn’t take long for users to flood the comments section with more support for the seasonal item. “This is the best store-bought salsa I’ve ever had, and I check for it every time I go to Aldi,” said one Reddit user. “I agree! It’s typically stocked from mid-April to mid-July. I found that seven jars is enough to take me through to next year,” added another.
Multiple people who tried the salsa after seeing the post gave it glowing reviews. “I bought this over the weekend based on this post and opened it today, just to see how it was. It is GOOD! Flavorful, not just spicy (although I’d say it’s barely in the medium range). It made me want tacos instead of the leftover pizza I was reheating! I’m going back tomorrow and hope to pick up a couple more jars.”
Redditors also mentioned that the salsa has a surprising depth of flavor. Some have used it as a marinade, or as a mix-in to perk up their usual fare. “It slaps hard in some queso. I’m grabbing like 10 jars this time,” one fan wrote.
So, next time you’re craving a burrito bowl, a flavorful sauce to brush over grilled chicken kabobs, or just need something to pair with a batch of homemade baked tortilla chips, be sure to grab a jar (or seven!) of Aldi’s chimichurri salsa. If it’s as good as shoppers say, you’re going to want to stock up.
