Over the past few months, you’ve probably run into a Girl Scout or two outside your local grocery store selling boxes of cookies that seem to get smaller and more expensive each year. Still, it’s tough to resist buying a box or two of your favorite variety.
If your favorite variety is Thin Mints—and there’s a good chance it is, because according to the Girl Scouts, it is their best-selling cookie—you may be bummed when cookie season ends. But, because it’s the most popular cookie, that classic chocolate and mint combo shows up in other forms throughout the year, in various collaborations between the Girl Scouts and other brands.
Sometimes it takes the form of a Wendy’s Frosty. Sometimes it takes the form of a Chipwich. Sometimes it takes the form of Pop-Tarts. And now, Sam’s Club is bringing the chocolate and mint combo to shoppers in the form of whipped cream.
Introducing Girl Scout Thin Mints Classic Cream
Dropping at Sam’s Clubs nationwide just about now, Girl Scout Thin Mints Classic Cream is an aerosol whipped cream inspired by the cookies’ iconic mint-chocolate combination. We can already tell the whipped cream will make a brilliant topper for coffee, mochas, lattes, and even hot chocolate.
Instagram’s @raeofsunshine._._ got their hands on a can, adding a big swirl of the minty chocolate whipped cream to a cup of coffee. “I need to try this,” a follower exclaimed, while another fan just wrote, “Oh my yes, please gimme.” The official Sam’s Club Instagram account also made a cameo in the comments section, sharing, “We could eat it straight from the can tbh,” which seems like a no-brainer, if you ask us.
For now, the Thin Mints whipped cream will be available exclusively at Sam’s Club for a limited time. But if you're not a Sam's Club member, don't you worry just yet—you'll be able to get your hands on this treat at some point down the road as Alamance Foods, the brand behind the whipped cream, plans to roll the product out to other retailers nationwide, following its stint at the warehouse club.
What else do we envision Thin Mint Classic Cream on? Chocolate ice cream, for sure (actually, almost any flavor of ice cream will do). It would be good on cheesecake, waffles, shortcake, pound cake, milkshakes, and as a topper on a Thin Mint martini. The list could go on and on.
According to the Sam's Club website, the Girl Scout Thin Mints Classic Cream is sold as a two-pack for $8.98—although prices may vary by location. While having to buy two at a time might seem like a commitment to some, we certainly don't think so. How could two of something this delicious be a bad thing?
