Original recipe (1X) yields 6 servings

  • 18 pitted dates

  • 1 (5.2 ounce) package gournay cheese, such as Boursin® Shallot & Chive Flavor

  • 1/2 cup slivered almonds, coarsely crumbled

  • 2 ounces prosciutto, diced

  • drizzle of honey

  • fresh parsley, for garnish

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with parchment. Place Boursin in a bowl and let stand at room temperature for 30 minutes.


  • Set aside a small amount of almonds and prosciutto for garnish; add almonds and prosciutto to the bowl and mix well by hand.


  • Make a slit in each date lengthwise, without cutting all the way through and leaving ends intact. Use your fingers to gently open the date. Use a small melon baller to scoop some of Boursin mixture and place inside the date. Place dates on the prepared baking sheet.


  • Bake in the preheated oven until hot and bubbly, 20 to 30 minutes. 


  • Remove from oven, drizzle with honey, and garnish with almonds, prosciutto, and fresh parsley.
