Key Takeaways

  • Cheez-It just arrived in the freezer aisle with a creative new collaboration.
  • The new Cheez-It product is reminding fans of the Big Cheez-It Tostada from Taco Bell’s limited-edition menu last year.
  • The new heat-and-eat meals are on shelves now at major retailers nationwide.

Cheez-It is one of those snack brands that refuses to stay in its lane—and honestly, why should it? That cheesy, toasty crunch deserves more than just a spot in the snack aisle. We’ve proudly used it to crust chicken dinners, blended it into burgers, and even folded it into marshmallow treats (still don’t know how we feel about that last one, to be honest).

Cheez-It isn’t just known for its ever-expanding lineup of flavors—it’s about pushing the limits of cheesy, crunchy snacking. And Taco Bell made that clear with last year’s limited-time Cheez-It takeover.

Taco Bell’s entire snack-inspired menu brought big Cheez-It energy to the drive-thru, but the standout item was the Big Cheez-It Tostada, which featured beef, cheese, lettuce, and sour cream, all piled atop a giant Cheez-It 16 times the size of the regular cracker. (The tostada got a 10/10 rating from our resident trend taster and Taco Bell fanatic, Nicole McLaughlin.)

Ever since we got a taste of the Big Cheez-It, we haven’t gotten it out of our heads. And now there’s a new, cheesy item coming to grocery stores that’s delivering the same over-the-top Cheez-It thrill.

Cheez-It just arrived in the freezer aisle like never before: as not one, but three frozen pizzas. Yep—the snack brand has teamed up with Palermo Villa, Inc. to create a trio of heat-and-eat pizzas featuring a Cheez-It-flavored crust. It’s the kind of product no one saw coming, but everyone is suddenly running to try.

When the pizzas first leaked online in a March 31 Instagram post, fans were convinced it had to be an April Fool’s joke, seeming too unbelievable to be true. “Real?? Or am I being fooled?” one commenter asked. But now that we know it is real, the reactions have been priceless. “LORD HAVE MERCY ON MY SOUL,” one fan cried.

The new Cheez-It pizzas come in three flavors, all topped with 100% real cheese:

  • Pepperoni: Cheez-It crust topped with whole milk mozzarella, yellow Cheddar, pepperoni, and marinara sauce.
  • Italian Four Cheese: Cheez-It crust topped with marinara sauce and a blend of mozzarella, yellow Cheddar, Parmesan, and Romano cheeses.
  • Cheddar Jack Supreme: Cheez-It crust topped with pepperoni, Italian sausage, green and red peppers, black olives, onions, yellow Cheddar, Monterey Jack, and marinara sauce.

Although the crunchy orange crust looks similar to Taco Bell’s limited-time tostada, it’s not the same. It’s just Cheez-It-flavored—not an actual jumbo-sized cracker. It may not have the bold snap of the Taco Bell version, but as a freezer-friendly snack to satisfy cheesy cravings anytime, we’ll gladly take it.

“This just confirms that I will eat Cheez-Its in all possible ways,” one fan said. “The collab with Taco Bell was soo smart—this gotta be fye,” added another.

The Cheez-It frozen pizzas are available now for a suggested retail price of $6.99 to $9.99, and can be found at select retailers nationwide, including Kroger, H-E-B, and Wegmans.

It might not be the giant cracker we were expecting, but with all that melty cheese and a Cheez-It-inspired crust, it sounds like another Cheez-It creation we’re sure to love.
