We could argue all day about which fast food chain is the best, but for me, during the warmer months, I tend to crave BBQ, and Arby’s always hits the spot. A juicy, spicy pulled pork sandwich with crispy onion strings and a Jamocha shake? Never a wrong choice.
But now, my usual Arby’s order might be changing with the chain’s rollout of a brand new menu item—steak nuggets. Just in time for summer, the fast food chain is doubling down on its “we have the meats” slogan, expanding its offerings with a premium cut that may even give Outback some competition. Word of the brand’s quiet protein drop has spread quickly on social media, and fans can’t stop obsessing about this new offering.
Arby’s Launches New Steak Nuggets
Arby’s discreetly rolled out steak nuggets a few days ago, and loyal fans were quick to spot this new offering on the menu. While the name might not sound too appetizing at first, don’t be fooled—the fast food chain isn’t breading and frying pieces of beef. Instead, they’re offering what many New Englanders, myself included, would recognize as steak tips—small, bite-sized chunks of meat, in this case prime rib. One TikTok food reviewer, @koryliveslife, got their hands on them and described the taste as resembling burnt ends, a BBQ delicacy typically made with brisket, that tends to boast smoky and slightly sweet flavors.
Allrecipes spoke with an Arby’s representative, who shared that, for now, the steak nuggets are available only at select locations as they are being "tested in certain markets." At the locations that do have them in stock, including chains in Tulsa, Grand Rapids, Orlando, Jacksonville, and Green Bay, they’re currently being sold in "five- and nine-piece" orders, according to the fast food chain.

Sure, you can pair these new steak nuggets with one of Arby’s popular sides, like loaded fries or jalapeño bites, or you can enjoy them as part of a meal. The fast food chain is offering them in two hearty ways.
On Arby’s menu, you’ll spot a steak nugget sandwich that layers the protein bites with Havarti cheese, crispy onions, tangy pickles, and the fast food chain’s signature Horsey sauce on a toasted bun.
They’re also offering a bowl filled with the meaty tips, nestled on top of the brand’s creamy white Cheddar mac and cheese and topped with crispy onions, says the Arby’s rep.
For now, a five-piece nugget order starts at $4.99, a nine-piece at $8.99, the sandwich at $7.99, and the bowl at $8.99. So, if you’re in one of the test markets, don’t miss this meaty experiment. If not, here’s hoping they'll hit locations nationwide soon so we can all give them a try.
